Earlier, NHAI officials were directed that the alignment of national highway should be done in such a manner that a minimum number of families are displaced.

Under the directions given, the officials of NHAI presented a new alignment for the widening of the Chapra-Hajipur highway in which 43 km out of a total length of 64 km of highway is being converted into a bypass. As a result of this, villages including Permanandpur, Naya Gaon, Bindchak, Sheetalpur, Nizamchak Basti, Jalalpur, Digwara, Aami Bypass, Chapra Bypass, Govindpur etc., will not be affected and will result in the reduction of the number of families displaced.
